Ted Lasso Season 4: What to Expect! New Cast, Plot Twists, and a Summer 2026 Premiere (2026)

The eagerly anticipated fourth season of the wildly popular series Ted Lasso, available on Apple TV, is set to premiere globally in the summer of 2026. This announcement comes hand in hand with the release of four exciting first-look images from the new chapter of this Emmy-winning comedy that stars and is executive produced by Jason Sudeikis.

In these newly unveiled photos, we catch a glimpse of Ted (played by Sudeikis) as he makes his return to Richmond, ready to tackle an exciting yet daunting challenge: coaching a women’s football team in the second division.

Among the images, two depict Ted alongside a new assistant coach, who joins the familiar face of Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). This new character is portrayed by Tanya Reynolds, a fresh addition to the cast.

Another image introduces us to Grant Feely, stepping into the role of Ted's son, Henry, following a recasting for the character ahead of Season 4. We see Ted and Henry enjoying a moment together at Mae Green’s Crown & Anchor pub, a beloved London locale.

The final image shows Ted sharing a moment with Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) in front of the Richmond jet. This scene hints at Rebecca possibly flying to Kansas to recruit Ted for his new coaching position. In a heartwarming gesture, Ted is seen handing Rebecca a box of his signature homemade biscuits.

As previously reported by Deadline, the upcoming season is expected to kick off in Kansas, which is where we last saw Ted at the conclusion of Season 3, before he journeys back to London with Henry joining him for part of the adventure. Filming commenced in July in Kansas City, Sudeikis’s hometown, adding an authentic touch to the narrative.

Currently, the production team is working diligently in London, bringing back the original cast members such as Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, all reprising their beloved roles. They are joined by new faces this season, including Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Feely.

Enhancing the creative team for Season 4, Jack Burditt has joined as an executive producer under a comprehensive agreement with Apple TV. Sudeikis continues to star and serve as an executive producer alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein contributes not only as a writer but also as an executive producer, working alongside Leanne Bowen. Additionally, Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh are writers and producers on the project, with Sasha Garron co-producing. Julia Lindon lends her talents as a writer, while Dylan Marron takes on the role of story editor. The series is brought to life through the executive production of Bill Lawrence via his Doozer Productions, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, both divisions of NBCUniversal Content. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer from Doozer also serve as executive producers. The show's foundation was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly, and Hunt, building upon existing formats and characters created for NBC Sports.
