A thrilling Super League encounter between Warrington Wolves and St Helens had it all - from controversial calls to dramatic moments and a heated atmosphere.
The Wolves struck first with a try from King, capitalizing on a mistake by St Helens' defense. But it was their second try that truly showcased their prowess, with Taylor-Wray's incredible speed and vision on full display as he raced 70 meters to score.
And here's where it gets interesting...
St Helens thought they had responded with a try of their own, but the video referee, Chris Kendall, intervened. Under the new rules, Kendall reviewed the try and ruled it out due to obstruction by David Klemmer. A controversial decision, to say the least, as Saints had their momentum halted.
Despite the setback, Saints kept up the pressure and eventually found their way over the line through Welsby. However, Welsby's celebration was short-lived as he suffered a painful-looking shoulder injury, forcing him off the field for the remainder of the match.
The drama continued as Jackson Hastings, the former Man of Steel, missed the conversion but made amends with a pinpoint kick that led to Sailor's try. But Hastings' night took a turn for the worse when he was sent to the sin bin for a late hit on Taylor-Wray, who had just set up Thewlis for Warrington's fourth try.
So, what do you think? Were the video referee's decisions fair? And did Hastings' sin-binning change the course of the game?
